Tour Cyclists Present a Memorandum to the City of Hamburg, Germany
Hamburg -- April 2, 2015. The Cycling Tour for the Truth, Peace, Justice and Eritrea that began in Göteborg, Sweden on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 passed through Kiel, Germany and spent the night of April 1st in Hamburg. In Hamburg they presented a memorandum calling for peace and justice for Eritrea to the city administration which was represented by Mr. Rene Alsein (Bürgerbüro). This memorandum is part of what they are going to deliver to the United Nations office in Geneva. It is calling for the international community, including the city of Hamburg official to help call for an unconditional implementation of the 13 year old boundary decision between Ethiopia and Eritrea paving the road to peace and security in the Horn of Africa. Ethiopia's refusal to abide by its international treaty obligation is at the heart of every ill in the Horn of Africa. Sadly, the international community instead encouraging Ethiopia to travel the path of peace, is financing its war mongering to the tune of billions of euros per year. The cyclists are making this long trip to call attention to this problem.
