Cycling Tour Rides through rain to call for Peace
Hamburg April 2, 2015 --The Cycling Tour for Truth, Peace, Justice and Eritrea braves mother nature's showers of precipitation on its way from Hamburg to Hanover in northern Germany. The tour left Göteborg, Sweden on Tuesday, 31 March. It passed through the port town of Kiel; spent the night of 1 April in Hamburg, and is now nearing Hanover, the capital of the federal state of Lower Saxony (Niedersachsen) in northern Germany.
While in Hamburg the group presented a memorandum on their call for peace and justice for Eritrea to the city administration. Mr. Rene Alsein (Bürgerbüro) received their message. The group said the cyclists were overwhelmed by the heart-warming reception they received from the Eritreo-German communities of Kiel and Hamburg. They also said the support and cheering they are getting from curios onlookers they meet on the road is also very encouraging.
Pictures will follow soon.
