The first stop of the Cycling tour for truth, peace, justice and Eritrea in Germany was the port city of Kiel. Before they set on their trip to Hamburg, they were greeted by the famous Eritrean hospitality of the Eritrean community in Northern Germany. Here are sample pictures from Kiel.
United Eritrean-American Families, (UEAF) of Dallas – Fort Worth would like to express its support with Eritrean-European and the Cycling Tour for Truth, Peace, Justice and Eritrea. It has been now 13 years since the EEBC delivered its verdict in favor of Eritrea; the Ethiopian government, however, continues to violate both its treaty obligation and the final and binding verdict of the EEBC in direct and categorical violation of international law by continuing to illegally occupy territory awarded to Eritrea.
We call on the American Government and the international community to compel Ethiopia to abide by the final and binding verdict of the EEBC and Algiers Agreement. Ending the on going occupation of by Ethiopia is one of the keys to the enhancement of Human Rights in the Horn of Africa.
The Cycling Tour for Truth, Peace, Justice and Eritrea braved an inclement weather on its ride from Hamburg to Hanover in northern Germany and has arrived in Hanover where they dropped a memorandum at the city hall and are spending the night.
The Cycling Tour for the Truth, Peace, Justice and Eritrea that began in Göteborg, Sweden on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 passed through Kiel, Germany and spent the night of April 1st in Hamburg. In Hamburg they presented a memorandum calling for peace and justice for Eritrea to the city administration which was represented by Mr. Rene Alsein (Bürgerbüro).
